R. W. Beck is seeking a candidate for the position of analyst for our Management Economic Consulting group (MEC), which serves the electric utility industry. The successful candidate will work in a team atmosphere assisting Project Managers by performing detailed analytical analyses and assisting in project execution. Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:
- Analysis of financial and non-financial data.
- Preparation and analysis of financial projections and forecasts.
- Preparation of cost of service and rate analysis.
- Research and compilation of project data.
- Development of project reports, analytical work papers, and project presentations.
- Assist in preparation of project proposals and other business development efforts.
Experience Required:- B.S. or B.A. degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, engineering, or other related field. M.B.A. or M.P.A. preferred but not required. Candidate must have G.P.A. of 3.0 or better in their major field of study
- 2-3 years applicable experience, preferably related to the electric utility industry
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- High level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with Microsoft Access preferred, but not required
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to meet deadlines under pressure
