On the Pharmacy Decision Support team you will be responsible for gathering user requirements, conducting analysis, developing functional & technical designs / solutions, coding, testing (preparing test scripts, setting up test environments, executing tests, and evaluating results), implementing, and supporting software applications. In this role you will be responsible for instructing, directing, and reviewing the work of other team members as necessary.

The following technical skills are required:

  • 2+ years of experience in Ab Initio or IBM DataStage
  • Must be able to design, develop and troubleshoot complicated batch jobs & processes.
  • 3+ years of Data Warehousing experience
  • Must have UNIX shell programming, PERL, and Oracle skills.
  • Excellent communication, project coordination and people skills are also required.

Senior Business Intelligence Developer, Statistical Analyst (Seattle, WA)

The Washington Mutual - WAMU Retail Banking group is seeking an individual with strong reporting, analytics and data skills for the Incentive Management Team. This position supports our strategy to build a dynamic incentive analytics and information delivery which will include developing incentive process effectiveness metrics, identifying opportunities for incentive plan improvements through regressions analysis and hypothesis setting, developing incentive dashboards, implementing effective reporting tools, and other various quantitative analyses in support of tactical and broad strategic initiatives. This is a critical position for our Incentive Compensation Reporting & Analytics team and we are looking for candidates who have a strong technical background with a passion for data analysis, and excellent communication skills and willing to work with internal customers on reporting solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Partner with business users and technical teams to develop critical reporting and analysis applications. Work on the synthesis of business requirements, acquisition and delivery of data to business users by working through all phases of development including data modeling.
  • Create internal reporting processes and analytical reports to improve information resources available to top management.
  • Perform complex data analysis to advise management on data interpretation on incentive plan performance; Conduct hypothesis settings and the formulation of new or revised components within an incentive plan by performing predictive analysis via statistical models.
  • Work with business intelligence reporting tools to design and deliver self-service reports to end users.
  • Be technically savvy to work directly with databases for designing data structures.

Qualifications

Expert Skill/Knowledge in the following:

  • Statistical Analysis: SPSS and/or SAS
  • Data Warehouse design techniques for data storage and retrieval
  • Data Analysis
  • Business Intelligence Reporting
  • Documentation

Experience/Education:
  • B.S, or higher degree in Mathematics, Computer Science or related field or
  • 5-8 years of Statistical Analysis & Modeling
  • 3-5 years of Business Intelligence / Data Warehouse experience
