We are looking for Senior Data Analysts that have a “think outside the box” approach to data analysis with a focus on client needs. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast paced environment with the skills to multitask several projects and clients. Responsibilities:

  • Work in the Client Services team to provide the most beneficial data analysis for our client’s to use in optimizing their ROI
  • Help clients use the data we provide to optimize their ROI directly
  • Manage client accounts
  • Work closely with and support the Director of Client Services
  • Support VP, Client Services
  • Analyze client’s data and identify trends and patterns in traffic behavior
  • Provide research and comprehensive data analysis to Clients
  • Receive customer feedback from Clients and from Product Development team, and take action on analysis based on feedback
  • Identify and validate key metrics, analyze test results, and manage related reports
  • Work in both individual and team environments, depending upon project
  • On occasion work with the Chief Science Officer on projects that may arise
  • Bring positive energy to the team!

Requirements and Qualifications:
  • 3+ years in an data analyst position
  • 1+ year(s) in a client services position
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in mathematics or related field
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills required
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in team and individual environments
  • Familiarity with online advertising, SEM, SEO, etc.
  • Familiarity regarding issues surrounding internet traffic quality (PPC, Impression, etc.) a plus
  • Desire to work in a startup environment
  • Enthusiastic attitude

Senior SQL Server Database Developer & Administrator (Los Angeles, CA)

We are seeking a senior level SQL Server Database Engineer & Administrator with a proven track record in building inspired solutions, in a fast paced startup environment. Initially work will involve more DB Development, and over time will include more Administration. You?ll build database systems to support large web-based applications, processing immense amounts of data rapidly on a high-availability platform. Our system is built around proprietary data processing methods, and that is where your large scale and complex system experience will be critical.

Required Skills/Attributes:

  • Experience with very large database systems (tables with millions of rows, and/or table partitioning)
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server 2005, and expertise with either SQL Server 2005 or 2000
  • Transact-SQL programming: creation/modification/optimization of procedures, views, and functions
  • Performance Tuning (of queries, database state analysis, and data import/export)
  • Good understanding of general Operating Systems concepts, particularly diagnostics ? i.e. able to resolve memory and/or file system problems due to high-volume conditions
  • Very good understanding of ETL: parsing and data transformation issues
  • .NET/C# Experience
  • Significant hands on experience programming in at least one language (C#, C++, C, Perl, Python or Java)
  • Passionate about SQL Server
  • BS/BA, advanced degrees a plus, but production industry experience is preferred.

Desired Skills/Attributes:
  • Prior experience specifically with import/export of very large files (DTS/bulk inserting of files > 2GB)
  • Excellent relational design skills for schema redesigns
  • Experience with multiple, redundant databases and third-party source control management of DDL
  • Solid strategies for backups and data integrity preservation
  • Computer Science, Math, Physics or Engineering background
  • Interest in Statistics
  • Knowledge of Internet Advertising

Senior Fraud Analyst (Los Angeles)

The Senior Fraud Analyst position requires hands on experience in statistical analysis, modeling, and advanced SAS and SQL programming skills. As the Senior Fraud Analyst, you will lead the end-to-end process of creating actionable fraud risk analytics including identification and creation of relevant datasets, performing data analysis, synthesizing relevant data, and presenting recommendations to management. This is a high visibility role and requires excellent communication skills as well as a dynamic and energetic approach to problem solving in order to further a best in class customer experience.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Working with internal teams and clients to ensure that products are being utilized to the clients’ fullest advantage
  • Researching and evaluating current and future technologies for use in building, maintaining, and enhancing client systems – making recommendations based on findings

Required Skills/Attributes:
  • Experience programming in SAS or similar statistical software, specifically fraud rule creation, testing and management, including working with complex queries to interrogate client data and identify potential fraud trends
  • Experience in manipulating datasets and samples
  • SQL programming skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint or similar tools
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated ability to independently drive results as self-starter
  • Solid understand of various web-based technologies (.Net, J2EE, XML, & EJB)
  • 4 year degree in business or statistics
