Membership Information Data Manager - American Dental Association (Chicago, IL)

This position's main responsibilities include, but are not limited to, serving as a Tripartite System (TS) database manager who manages the ongoing maintenance of the ADA dentist masterfile through tracking all data elements regularly, and performing and monitoring various database updates to ensure accuracy and integrity; serving as a database report expert for the Division of Membership, Tripartite Relations and Marketing; producing standard and custom reports using both MS Access and the ADA datamart reporting tools; performing analysis of the database that is used by ADA and constituent and component dental society staff; provides database support for various recruitment and retention activities of the Membership, Tripartite Relations & Marketing Division; produces end of year and monthly Recruitment and Retention Reports, Membership Statements, and monthly reports for the membership data dashboard; maintains this membership data on the Membership Sitescape website.

This position requires a BS or BA degree and two years experience managing a large database, producing reports using MS Access or other database reporting tool and responsibility for maintenance and building of database(s) for business, association of non-profit organization OR six years experience in managing a large database, producing reports using MS Access or other database reporting tool, and responsibility for maintenance and building of database(s) for business, association, or non-profit organizations; must have strong analytical, organizational, project management and oral/written communication skills; proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint and MS Access software; must be able to coordinate multiple ongoing projects, meet deadlines, and be attentive to detail . Desirable Skills Include: Previous experience in marketing and/or association management or not-for-profit organization; use of Crystal Reports or Business Objects software; previous experience in customer service.

Lead Credit Risk Analyst, Credit Card originations - HSBC (Chicago, IL)

Lead Credit Risk Analyst - Credit Card originations: be on the cutting edge of the industry!

Location: Chicago, IL, Portland OR, or Salinas, CA.

A lead analyst is a key member on Credit Risk Policy team leading analytical initiatives related to credit underwriting and business innovations. The position is responsible for driving the business analysis and business cases in support of the growth and profitability of a top national retailer private label and credit card portfolio with $5 billion in total receivables.

The individual will accomplish the following job functions:

  • Develop strategies for private label or credit card decisioning and line assignment strategies for a portfolio with more than 2 million accounts booked per year. Aid in the development of challenger underwriting decision logic, multiple account decision logic, and underwriting strategies for new populations.
  • Work with Finance team to evaluate the risk/return profile of the targeted populations and identify key performance drivers to meet the corporate established return requirements. Assist Finance team by providing loss forecast assumptions leveraging the historical performance and planned strategy changes for each targeted segment.
  • Drive the development of business solutions, including the use of new scores, data, models and technologies that will increase the profitability of new originated accounts.
  • Design and write mainframe and PC technical programs for statistical analysis of portfolio performance and monitoring. Leverage and optimize existing tracking systems to provide informative reporting to senior management and recommend new initiatives and strategy changes.
  • Communicate and document processes and analysis results. Prepare and deliver presentations to senior management and to various business groups, including Finance, Marketing and Compliance.

The candidates should have 2+ years of financial services industry experience. Candidates with exceptional track record from other industry in an analytical or consulting role will also be considered. The individual will need to show strong technical skills with proficiency in MS Excel, SAS or other comparable statistical/database programs or programming languages. He should also have strong presentation and communication skills. Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, operations/engineering or equivalent is required. Masters in similar quantitative discipline preferred.

Research Analyst II - American Dental Association (Chicago, IL)

This position's main responsibilities include, but are not limited to, using appropriate software to analyze complex statistical information gathered in multiple concurrent research projects, using both primary and secondary data; using analytical skills to write concise reports; communicating results of surveys; coordinating data collection efforts; assisting in the development of new marketing efforts in conjunction with other ADA agency sponsored research, both qualitative and quantitative.

This position requires a BA/BS preferably in social sciences, economics, computer modeling or statistics plus a minimum of three years work experience in survey research and analysis OR a MA/MS with a minimum of one year experience in survey research; excellent knowledge of statistical programming languages such as SAS or SPSS, preferably with SAS; two years statistical programming experience; full MS Office Suite experience; excellent writing, analytical and presentation skills; experience with other programming languages and statistical packages; experience writing final reports with graphics; supervisory experience; experience with large data sets; significant data manipulation skills; excellent statistical, analytical and writing skills. Highly Desirable Skills include: Experience working with research vendors in data collection activities; market research activities; experience with all phases of survey/market research; experience with web-based research methods; dental related degree; familiarity with Associations; survey design and familiarity with focus group work (recruiting, drafting discussion guide and final reports) and interviewing techniques.

Sr. Analyst (Chicago, IL)

The Chicago office of a marketing analytics consulting firm is looking for a Sr. Analyst to spearhead analytical projects for their clients. Establish experimental designs for marketing programs and conduct analysis to determine effectiveness of marketing campaigns. Develop profiles, predictive models and segmentation schemes that will enhance client campaign performance. Deliver value-added insight into analysis results and recommend actions based on findings. Position is client facing so effective written and verbal communication is key. Occasional travel required. Must have an advanced degree in statistics, economics, mathematics, or related field, and SAS programming and Microsoft Office proficiency.
