Job Description: Marketing Analyst II

The Marketing Analyst II position will be responsible for providing statistical and data analyses - including data gathering, predictive modeling, customer analytics, executing marketing campaigns and automation of processes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work with Marketing, Customer Service, Research and Data Warehouse teams to manage effective and targeted marketing initiatives from a data perspective.
  • Utilize multichannel data (web, email, direct mail, telemarketing, etc.) to create analytic datasets for mining/modeling purposes
  • Perform various statistical/data analyses including: exploratory data analysis, response modeling, sampling, customer segmentation and model validation
  • Execute marketing and customer service campaigns - including data gathering which leverages internal models/customer profiles and ROI analysis
  • Work with data warehouse team to automate data processes for statistical models and ensure data integrity.

Job Experience

Required:

  • BA/BS in a quantitative major: Statistics, Mathematics, Marketing, MIS, Business
  • 3-5 years relevant work experience in response modeling and model validation
  • Working knowledge of customer marketing, data segmentation and campaign analysis
  • Strong knowledge of SPSS, SQL and data structures
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Preferred:
  • Teradata miner experience a plus
  • Data warehouse and requirements gathering experience also very desirable.

Circuit City has an opportunity for an experienced quantitative analyst with expert knowledge in database marketing and statistics. If you have advanced analytics experience with an interest in direct marketing, then this may be just the opportunity for you!

As the Sr. Analyst, Digital Marketing, you will be responsible for ascertaining the analytical needs for your area of responsibility and will use data mining and analysis/reporting for direct marketing efforts. You will track customer file growth, analyze campaign strategy and its impact on customer file growth and make recommendations for optimal campaign strategy. You’ll be responsible for engaging with team members to provide leadership on database marketing analytical projects requiring advance specialized knowledge.

Your essential duties and responsibilities will include the following:

  • Advanced analytics (database marketing, statistical, etc.) to measure effectiveness of direct marketing efforts and its impact on customer file growth, revenue and ROI
  • Analyze multi-channel contacts, contact optimization and its impact on customer file and margin growth
  • Analyze customer lifetime value and its impact on contact strategy design and implement direct marketing contact strategy test

  • Work closely with business owners to understand the drivers of each channel and help deliver revenue and margin
  • Understand online and offline dynamic

To be successful in this role, you should have an MBA or MS in Economics, Finance, Marketing or similar with emphasis in quantitative analytics (preferred) with 3-4 years of work experience and/or training, or Bachelors degree with 6-8 years of experience. Expert level analytical skills and knowledge of statistics, SAS and Oracle, and understanding of relational and marketing databases required. You must also have strong understanding of customer response data and measures, the ability to understand response modeling and customer segmentation, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Purpose:

Our client, a large financial services firm, is looking for a senior level executive to assist with the analysis of numeric, market and operational data.

Director of Statistics Responsibilities:

This Director performs advanced level and/or managerial oversight of the validation of complex statistical and arithmetic models utilized by multiple business lines. This position will be responsible for developing an understanding the model validation requirements and developing and administering a program to meet those needs in a manner that is independent of management. This work will require being a technical consultant and subject matter expert. Included in this role will be the actual performance of model validation and the oversight of work performed by other associates performing model validation work. In addition, this position will be responsible for assessing management's progress of implementing and adhering to model governance standards throughout the company.

  • Manage and develop statistics and analytics professionals who develop predictive models that will be used by clients in the credit card, mortgage and checking business.
  • Manage and develop statistics and analytics professionals who help develop strategies to assist with decision making process.

Director of Statistics Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in statistics, analytics, economics, or biostatistics
  • 8+ years of applied experience
  • Accomplished user of classic statistical tools (for example, linear models, logistic regression, hypothesis testing, sampling)
  • SAS programming, solid on data step and several of the advanced statistical procedures, familiar with macros
  • Experience in any of following: risk management, direct marketing, consumer lending, FICO scoring, mortgage lending, credit card or checking industry.
  • Ability to apply analytical and problem solving skills to develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Knowledge and experience with any of the following: SAS, SPSS or SQL.
  • Excellent teaching skills & extensive experience in leading change in complex business environments

Knowledge Discovery Statistician (Arlington, VA)

We need an individual who will have an immediate impact on high-profile Department of Defense project. Our intent is to embed more advanced analytics into the framework of a developing software application we are continuing to improve. We will position your technical talent within this project to make a real impact. Our team is working directly with senior leadership on a critical initiative within the national security arena. You will work with the best, most competent teammates in the industry.

Ideal candidates are familiar with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures, and will rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Expect a wide degree of creative license and latitude. This position will work with a senior Project Manager and report directly to the Principal Consultant.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and evaluate algorithms and analytic techniques for challenging problems.
  • Guide development team in embedding the selected algorithms and associated processes in software applications/products.
  • Conduct analysis of available data sources to identify attributes valuable for modeling purposes.
  • Define and implement processes to overcome data availability limitations and quality issues.
  • Prove the quality of selected algorithms by building production-grade models against multiple data sets.
  • Create and apply a repeatable model measurement framework.
  • Develop methods to automate the entire modeling process, including model training, deployment, ongoing monitoring and adaptive learning.
  • Participate in customer implementation projects, taking ownership of all modeling-related activities to ensure achievement of business results.

Requirements
  • Advanced degree in applied mathematics or computer science, or equivalent experience.
  • 2-5 years experience in data modeling, quantitative analytics. Proven knowledge/experience with various analytic techniques, predictive/segmentation modeling scenarios, (Logistic and OLS Regression, Decision Trees, Neural Nets, Multivariate Analysis, Factor and Cluster Analysis).
  • Experience in predictive statistical models & segmentation.
  • Knowledge and experience with statistical applications/analytical tools (i.e., SPSS, SAS, or Business Objects).
  • Strong Unix and PC skills with knowledge of Microsoft Suite of Products.

Risk Analyst, Lending (Vienna, VA

Position Description

To analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of financial services programs and business products and model and forecast financial aspects of the portfolios, with particular emphasis on portfolio pricing strategies related to credit risk and financial returns. To analyze and develop new and existing automated systems. To research and analyze work processes, production statistics, and market data. To coordinate operational actions that cross division lines

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Your success with attaining and performing the required skills and abilities will be enhanced if they consist the following:

  • Technical experience with emphasis on and demonstrated skill in the creation and maintenance of automated processing systems
  • Skill in interpreting regulations, specification, instruction, procedures, and policies
