The Sam's Club Member Insight & Innovation team is responsible for helping our entire business understand what our members value most. We use that insight to inform business, marketing, membership, and merchandising strategies that create great value and service for our members.

Detailed Description

The Senior Director of Analytics in our Member Insights & Innovation team is responsible to ensure Sam's Club has best-in-class analytics, measurement, and data strategies to inform enterprise-wide business initiative focused on enhancing the overall member experience.

The leader in this role is responsible to:

  • Lead the design and development of analytical projects designed to understand key business behaviors such as member acquisition, retention, and engagement; member lifetime value; member satisfaction; and drivers of loyalty
  • Manage and lead advanced analyses to assess relationships and patterns within member data, and create tools which can be leveraged to build actionable strategies
  • Guide continuous innovation and creation of new measurement solutions to accelerate learnings from treatment strategies
  • Direct development and integration of advanced analytics, statistical modeling, and offer optimization
  • Lead cross-functional teams to implement decision support strategies -- aligning resources from marketing, technology, membership, eCommerce, and external analytics and technology partners
  • Direct the development and infusion of advanced measurement capabilities across the enterprise to accelerate the test-learn-modify cycle
  • Attract, develop and retain the best talent to the MI&I team

Job Requirements
  • Advanced degree in quantitative marketing, statistics, mathematics, economics, or related quantitative field, or significant work experience
  • Minimum of 8 years business experience in marketing analysis or analytics consulting leadership
  • Expertise in CRM, loyalty marketing, or other customer-centric environments
  • Experience managing high-performing teams
  • Specific experience in advanced analytic techniques applied to customer valuation, marketing ROI, design of experiment, and segmentation
