As a Predictive Modeling/ Data Mining Analyst you will perform data analysis, develop algorithms and predictive models, and present technical information to a broad audience. You will apply algorithms and modeling tools to real client data, and develop solutions with other areas of the business. Responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain a suite of predictive analytics to drive consumer engagement in Humana’s clinical activities
- Develop statistical models & methodologies to predict, quantify, and/or forecast various business/health metrics
- Ensure and maintain data quality and reliability
- Provide expertise and assistance in implementing model results in ongoing business processes
- Identify and recommend new data sources that will maximize analytic output and conclusions
- Create customized reports with a team of analysts
- Ensure full and clear documentation of all processes

- Master’s Degree in Math, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
- Prior experience on data mining, statistics, pattern recognition, machine learning
- Strong experience using modeling tools such as SAS, SPSS, R, Matlab
- Passion for solving challenging technical problems, creativity, and detail orientated
- Ability to effectively communicate results of statistical models to broad audience
- PhD Degree in Math, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
- Advanced experience and in-depth knowledge of modeling techniques, such as feature transformation, selection, nonlinear modeling including neural networks, boosted trees etc.
- Experience of develop and implement models in transactional databases
- Experience with SAS Enterprise Miner
- Experience with large data sets especially health care data
You will report to a Manager. This area is under the leadership of the VP of Health Guidance Organization & Chief Operating Officer.
