Responsibilities:
- model expected profitability and risk on a per-contract and portfolio basis, using a combination of vendor and proprietary tools and techniques
- assist underwriting team with pricing and risk analyses for submissions
- maintain overall data integrity for the business
- work with counterparties and vendors to validate model assumptions and inputs
- contribute to ongoing development of analytical tools
- thorough understanding of probabilistic and statistical concepts and reasoning used in risk analysis for reinsurance
- undergraduate degree in mathematics, statistics, or another quantitative field
- proven ability to work independently
- excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
- part-qualified actuary designation
- minimum three years of reinsurance industry experience
- minimum two years of experience using RMS or AIR software for catastrophe modeling
