Research Analyst II - American Dental Association (Chicago, IL)

This position's main responsibilities include, but are not limited to, using appropriate software to analyze complex statistical information gathered in multiple concurrent research projects, using both primary and secondary data; using analytical skills to write concise reports; communicating results of surveys; coordinating data collection efforts; assisting in the development of new marketing efforts in conjunction with other ADA agency sponsored research, both qualitative and quantitative.

This position requires a BA/BS preferably in social sciences, economics, computer modeling or statistics plus a minimum of three years work experience in survey research and analysis OR a MA/MS with a minimum of one year experience in survey research; excellent knowledge of statistical programming languages such as SAS or SPSS, preferably with SAS; two years statistical programming experience; full MS Office Suite experience; excellent writing, analytical and presentation skills; experience with other programming languages and statistical packages; experience writing final reports with graphics; supervisory experience; experience with large data sets; significant data manipulation skills; excellent statistical, analytical and writing skills. Highly Desirable Skills include: Experience working with research vendors in data collection activities; market research activities; experience with all phases of survey/market research; experience with web-based research methods; dental related degree; familiarity with Associations; survey design and familiarity with focus group work (recruiting, drafting discussion guide and final reports) and interviewing techniques.
