Scientist (Irvine, CA)

Headquartered in Boston, the Company seeks a Scientist for their R & D team in Irvine, CA. The profile for this role includes:

  • Recent Ph.D in statistics or related applied field (such as econometrics, psychometrics, decision sciences, marketing research, or operational research).
  • Demonstrated in-depth understanding of Bayesian methods and (optionally) has exposure of doing estimation with Monte Carlo Markov Chain methods.
  • Must demonstrate creative statistical thinking for problems and familiarity with techniques like factor and cluster analysis, modeling/estimation with unbalanced panel data, multidimensional scaling and latent variable modeling/estimation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Data management/exploration to recommend performance modeling/tuning
  • Creative identification and estimation of preference-models and classification-schemes.
Salary ranges from $90,000 - $110,000 depending upon experience. Company has been rated among the top 100 best businesses to work for in their geography.
