MES Application DBA (Columbus, IN)

We are an international search firm specializing in IT, Operations and Professional Services (http://www.franklincareers.com/). One of our international clients has asked us to help them find a Manufacturing MES Application DBA. The position will be located in Indiana. Our client is a multi billion manufacturer.  The company is rated as one of the “Best 100 Companies to Work For.”  Hallmarks of its cultural ethos include a profound commitment to diversity, collegiality, and team orientation.  The company has also enjoyed unusually strong growth over the past seven years and its stock is performing very well on Wall Street.   Overall, the primary responsibility for this position includes leading the database design, development, implementation and support of the Next Generation - Manufacturing Execution System.The Next Generation - Manufacturing Execution System is a program strategy devised to replace the company’s existing manufacturing execution systems with a common, modern, reliable, standards-based application set that can be cost effectively maintained.  This program also serves to produce the MES application blueprint that would be recommended for new corporate entities.This position will work closely with the manufacturing business, controls engineering and IT leadership at both the corporate and plant levels.  This position will work to ensure the product delivered meets the customer’s expectations from a functional and performance perspective.The ideal candidate will have the following skill set: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline.  An advanced degree a plus.
  • Technical expertise in Windows 2003, IIS, Oracle and Commercially off the Shelf MES Applications.
  • Manufacturing Operations Literacy
  • Strong Project Management skills, Planning, Prioritizing, and Goal Setting
  • Understanding and experience with MES systems
  • Strong troubleshooting skills utilizing structured problem solving techniques
  • Structured Development Lifecycle and Development Methodologies
  • Experience with process improvement using 6-sigma DMAIC or DFSS a plus
  • Internal Customer Relationship Management
  • Demonstrated Change Management experience
 The compensation package includes a competitive base salary, strong bonus program and relocation package and a full benefits package.
