We do this by providing consumers more information and better guidance regarding lawyers and legal situations than they’ve ever had access to before. This includes rating and profiling every lawyer in the states we currently cover, client reviews, peer reviews and attorney disciplinary records. We also offer a robust question and answer forum and legal guides that help consumers get the help they need.
We are seeking to hire a data warehouse architect (consultant) for at least 3-6 months to oversee the system definition and creation of a warehouse solution. This architect will produce a description of the complete solution, linking technical implementation to business needs. The definition will become the rules that govern the platform for constructing the Avvo data warehouse.
Skills required:
- Ability to understand and help articulate needs into business value and synthesize the needs from various areas of the company
- Define what data is needed to meet business user needs
- Identify facts and dimensions
- Define logical data models
- Establish an aggregation plan
- Information
- Define the framework for transforming data into information from source systems
- Recommend stages needed to transformation of data into information
- Review data quality process and reconciliation
- Define physical data model
- Understanding of current dwh technologies
- Prior experience with open source software (MySQL)
- Define technical functionality needed to build the environment
- Identify available technologies and make tradeoffs
- Review and understand Avvo’s current environment and technical direction
- Recommend an implementation plan
- Knowledge of ETL, OLAP, and OLTP helpful
