Senior Web Analyst – Chicago, IL

The Analyst role at Critical Mass focuses on quantitative analysis. The Senior Analyst will be an integral part of the Insight & Planning Team and be responsible for providing deliverables to internal and external clients. This position is client facing and focuses on performance strategy and analysis of marketing initiatives (online/affect on offline) coordinating closely with internal Planning, Account, Creative and Technology teams and external agencies and third-party vendors. Ideally, candidates will also have a sound understanding of online marketing strategies and concepts.

Responsibilities:

  • Online measurement strategy, planning and program management
  • Socialization of the culture of measurement and accountability
  • Web analytics planning, project management, software administration, implementation, dashboards, reporting, analysis, recommendations
  • Coordination and centralization of data and analysis for all push marketing channels and website (working closely with media and email teams)
  • Media campaign and site optimization planning and execution
  • Survey design, develop, deploy, report and analyze
  • Multi-channel (online/offline) measurement and revenue attribution modeling
  • Customer lifecycle measurement (Recency Frequency Monetary)
  • Market segmentation (using SPSS)
  • Competitive analysis using Forrester (among other) criterion
  • Client and internal team presentation

Experience with one or more:
  • Experience designing systems, implementing and using web analytics tools (Omniture, Google Analytics,
  • Partnering with Media teams to centralize and integrate data from tools like Doubleclick (DFA/DART), Google Adwords, ExactTarget, etc.
  • Data aggregation/data warehouse/business intelligence
  • Consumer relationship, retention, and loyalty marketing (Direct Mail, TV, Radio, or Digital Channels)
  • RFM/ROI model design and analysis
  • Segmentation analysis
  • Experience in A/B or multivariate testing using tools like Offermatica or Optimost
  • Database query development (i.e. SQL)

Other desired skills include:
  • Insatiable curiosity
  • Strong collaboration, project management and team building skills (with internal and external teams)
  • Strong quantitative skills required, as well as very strong skills with Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills – ability to harmonize teams and effectively communicate to creative, tech, account and client teams.
  • Able to distill large quantities of information into clear and concise insights, formulating actionable recommendations
  • Creativity; able articulate ideas and concepts in visually interesting, compelling ways
  • Innovative; has an appreciation that each project and problem requires a fresh approach
  • Proven writing and self-editing skills, especially when contributing to creative and project briefs and creating presentation decks
  • Knowledgeable of the advertising, digital and media industry - related experience in an agency environment, business strategy and marketing
  • Statistics-based degree
