Analyst Senior - Market Risk Oversight

Job Description

• Support development, production, and reporting of economic capital and Basel II regulatory capital models
  Support project activities for department initiatives
• Conduct research and analysis, create periodic or ad-hoc reporting as directed by management to support enterprise risk measurement and management
• Work with department management to develop and refine economic capital methodologies; participate in communication/coordination of risk assessments with business segments
• Provide support and documentation for regulatory reporting disclosures, senior management reports and other business meetings or events
• Coordinate the gathering and analyzing of credit, market and operational risk information for scenario analysis and strategic initiatives

Requirements

• Minimum bachelor's degree with business/accounting/economics course work
• Additionally qualifying work experience may be substituted for the Degree requirement
• CFA or FRM certification preferred
• 3 to 5+ year's relevant experience
• Basic accounting and statistical analysis understanding
• Detailed knowledge and experience with database systems and SQL
• Understanding of economic capital framework and measures for credit, market, and operational risk
• Familiarity with Basel II regulatory capital requirements
• Detailed understanding of some or all of WaMu's business lines
