Project Manager, Analytics (Chicago, IL)

The company supports over 250 clients across its marketing services, vertical industry solutions and teleservices business units – headquartered in Naperville, IL.

THE POSITION

The Project Manager is responsible for management of the analytic product line and research and development projects; supports and improves the effectiveness of direct marketing efforts through the use of behavioral, demographic, and credit data on customers. Directs and oversees development of response and acquisition models for targeted marketing efforts. Working in a cross-functional team environment manages analytical team resources including statistical analysts, database marketing specialists, data processing and client analytical staff. Specific duties include:

  • Manages analytic proposal development.
  • Responsible for product development initiatives within assigned vertical focus.
  • Conducts and/or oversees analysis on client consumer databases looking at profitability, transaction behavior, and demographic characteristics.
  • Provides segmentation for database marketing efforts, such as CHAID, cluster analysis, and customer profiling.
  • Provides work direction and leads analytical team resources through deliverable work phases to completion. Works with clients to develop ideas and identify what can be achieved with their database.
  • Develops approach and lays out specifications to perform analysis.
  • Works with team to develop estimates of analytical resources requirements for all aspects of development projects.
  • Identifies potential enhancements and/or process improvements for internal product and services offerings.
  • Review analytical project deliverables to ensure timeliness and quality prior to presentations.
  • Builds models for mail and telephone campaigns, such as response and acquisition models.
  • Performs other duties and requirements as required.

THE INDIVIDUAL
  • College Degree required; math-related emphasis. Education is considered to include both the formal/traditional as well as learning from life and work experience.
  • 5 - 8 years of work-related experience involving analytic projects or data base management in a business environment.
  • 1 – 3 years of supervisory experience helpful.
