Customer Intelligence Director - Draftfcb (Chicago, IL)

The Draftfcb Customer Intelligence Director

The ideal candidate understands a wide array of data analysis techniques. The candidate can interpret data, provide insights and make actionable recommendations.

High level scope of work responsibilities:

  • Manage large client engagements, or a series of smaller client engagements, using data analytics and research to measure consumer-brand relationships and marketing opportunities
  • Perform analyses, and work with junior analysts to manage other analytics
  • Interpret analytics & research to produce concrete strategies, tactics and plans for Draftfcb’s clients
  • Collaborate with clients and other Draftfcb disciplines (strategic planning, creative, media) to transform the analytics and strategies into actual client work.

Technical skills
  • Understanding of predictive modeling, customer segmentation, forecasting, and media/channel optimization and how they relate to marketing strategy
  • MS Office and advanced Excel skills necessary
  • Reporting experience with software such as Cognos, MS Access, SQL, etc
  • Modeling experience with SPSS, SAS, etc.
  • Database experience and mapping software experience a plus

Key skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Creativity around and enthusiasm for data & research and its strategic application
  • Experience managing multiple projects and prioritizing deliverables
  • Experience supervising junior staff highly desirable
  • Marketing background highly desirable

Experience/Education
  • Advanced degree with heavy quantitative coursework (e.g., statistics, math, operations research)
  • Minimum of 8 years experience in marketing analytics or related field such as advertising, retail marketing, product marketing, direct marketing, digital marketing, loyalty marketing, etc.
