Customer Intelligence Lead - Draftfcb (Chicago, IL)

The Draftfcb Customer Intelligence Lead

The ideal candidate is a self-directed, creative leader with good communication skills who understands how to use data to build a cohesive story about the business, provide insights to influence and guide thinking and make recommendations to cross-functional agency team.

High level scope of work responsibilities:

  • Develop best-in-class marketing strategies with cross-functional agency team
  • Understands that they contribute more than data analyses; they share a responsibility with other agency leads to address broader client business challenges
  • Recommend analytic projects/analyses to cross-functional agency team based on client business challenges, objectives, goals.
  • Work with CI Modelers and analysts to design/develop compelling/relevant analyses.
  • Make actionable recommendations to client based on analytic findings
  • Prepare high-quality, visually compelling, client-ready documents/findings/recommendations

Technical skills
  • Understanding of predictive modeling, customer segmentation, forecasting, and media/channel optimization and how they relate to marketing strategy
  • MS Office, including advanced Excel skills required.
  • Experience with SPSS, SAS or SQL a plus
  • Experience with GIS mapping applications and database development a plus

Key skills
  • Strong leadership
  • Creativity around and enthusiasm for data & research and its strategic application
  • Self-directed; ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment.
  • Good communicator with strong presentation skills
  • Marketing background highly desirable

Experience/Education
  • Min 10 years work experience in marketing analytics or related field such as advertising, retail marketing, product marketing, direct marketing, digital marketing, loyalty marketing, etc.
  • Senior-level leadership position
  • BA/BS in marketing / advertising / communications / social sciences required; MBA or related degree preferred.
  • Experience with syndicated data sources such as Nielsen (sales); MRI/Simmons (marketing media research)
