Customer Intelligence Sr. Analyst - Draftfcb (Chicago, IL)

The Draftfcb Customer Intelligence Sr. Analyst

The ideal candidate understands marketing and how to relate data insights back to marketing program. S/he has the ability to interpret data, provide insights and make actionable recommendations.

High level scope of work responsibilities:

  • Extract and manipulate data into campaign tracking reports
  • Analyze reports in relation to business objectives
  • Able to learn and master dashboard development applications and wire in analysis findings through this platform

Technical skills
  • MS Office and advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables required
  • Reporting experience with software such as MS Access, SQL, etc. required
  • Data manipulation experience with SPSS, SAS, etc. a plus
  • Understanding of customer segmentation, forecasting, and media/channel optimization and how they relate to marketing strategy
  • Database experience and mapping software experience preferred desired

Key skills
  • Self-directed. Able to anticipate analysis priorities and keep CI Lead / CI Director informed of requirements
  • Creativity around and enthusiasm for data & research and its strategic application
  • Good communicator (ideally w/presentation experience)
  • Comfortable sharing insights and take-aways in client meetings and senior agency leadership meetings

Experience/Education
  • At least 5 years work experience in marketing analytics or related field such as advertising, retail marketing, product marketing, direct marketing, digital marketing, loyalty marketing, etc.
  • BA/BS in marketing / advertising / communications / social sciences
  • Experience with such data sources as Nielsen (sales); MRI/Simmons (marketing media research); Millward Brown (brand health); ComScore (online panel data) preferred.
