Customer Intelligence Sr. Analyst / Modeler - Draftfcb (Chicago, IL)

The Draftfcb Customer Intelligence Sr. Analyst (Modeler)

The ideal candidate understands a wide array of data analysis techniques. S/he can interpret data, provide insights and make actionable recommendations.

High level scope of work responsibilities:

  • Design/create analyses in relation to business objectives
  • Create/analyze customer profiles for target marketing opportunities
  • Work with large datasets--a combination of client specific large datasets and syndicated marketing/media research

Technical skills
  • MS Office and advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables required
  • Data manipulation experience with SPSS, SAS, etc. desired
  • Reporting experience with software such as MS Access, SQL, etc. desired
  • Database experience and mapping software experience a plus
  • Understanding of predictive modeling, customer segmentation, forecasting, and media/channel optimization and how they relate to marketing strategy

Key skills
  • Well organized and disciplined approach to work. Able to manage aggressive data analysis timelines
  • Self-directed. Able to anticipate analysis priorities and keep CI Lead Modeler informed of requirements
  • Creativity around and enthusiasm for new approaches to modeling challenges
  • Good communicator (ideally w/presentation experience)
  • Comfortable assisting non-analyst co-workers to understand the methodology and significance of analysis findings

Experience/Education
  • Advanced degree with heavy quantitative coursework (e.g., statistics, math, operations research)
  • Experience in marketing analytics or related field such as advertising, retail marketing, product marketing, direct marketing, online marketing, loyalty marketing, etc.
  • Experience with syndicated data sources such as Nielsen (sales); MRI/Simmons (marketing media research); Millward Brown (brand health) preferred.
