Description of Duties:

Under general supervision, collects and organizes Atlanta Area Schools for the Deaf (AASD) student data and conducts data analysis using student information software applications. Duties including assisting in the preparation of data for FTE and Student Record reporting; preparing and submitting recurring and on-demand student data reports within established timeframes including student demographics and historical enrollment trends, demonstrating knowledge of student information applications and programs; providing technical assistance to management and staff; monitoring and analyzing student information systems applications to maintain clean and accurate data; providing training for staff on current student information system programs and applications; maintaining knowledge of current trends and developments in the field of student data collection by reading appropriate books, journals and other literature and attending related seminars and conferences; and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Completion of 90 quarter (60 semester) hours of coursework at a college or university which included at least one course in mathematics, statistics, research methods or a related field. Note: two years of experience which included report writing and data collection, tabulation, computation and analysis may be evaluated as equivalent in substitution for education for most positions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Training and experience leading to demonstrated competencies in collecting and compiling student information related data at a school level (K-12).
  • Possesses knowledge of data collection, coding, and reporting procedures and proficiency in operating or utilizing data collection software.
  • Competency in locating and recognizing pertinent information on maps, graphs, or charts quickly and accurately; in reading and interpreting technical manuals and instructions related to the job; and in completing job related forms or reports.
  • Possess sign language skills at the advanced level.

Salary/Benefits:

Pay Grade 10- Annual salary range $22,077.93 (minimum) to $38,661.83 (maximum). Starting salary dependent on current employment, training and experience. Benefit options include life, disability, dental and health insurance; annual/sick leave; and Employees’ Retirement or Teachers Retirement.
